Women's Club House of St. Albans

Rotary is a worldwide organization of more than 1.2 million business, professional, and community leaders. Members of Rotary clubs, known as Rotarians, provide humanitarian service, encourage high ethical standards in all vocations, and help build goodwill and peace in the world.

There are 33,000 Rotary clubs in more than 200 countries and geographical areas. Clubs are nonpolitical, nonreligious, and open to all cultures, races, and creeds. As signified by the motto Service Above Self, Rotary’s main objective is service — in the community, in the workplace, and throughout the world.

The Woman's Club of St. Albans is located in a beautiful old house, it has been part of the Christmas tours many times. They rent the facilities out at a reasonable price which includes food from the ladies, they serve it and clean up after the event. They also allow local high school students use their yard and porch to have prom pictures taken by family and friends.


St. Albans Depot Restoration Group
    Our city has one of the last remaining original Depots built by the C&O Railroad. Restoration, maintenance, and expansion of the Depot is the passion behind the Restoration Group.



St. Albans Chesapeake and Ohio Modelers, Inc.
    Saint Albans, has a long history with the railroad industry. The "Modelers" keep that history alive by connecting us with the past through building and displaying railroad models that reflect our heritage.

 



St. Albans Historical Society

The St. Albans Historical Society was formed in 1972 and helps to maintain two museums: Morgan's Plantation Kitchen (ca. 1946) and the Wm. P. Burdette Memorial Building, their headquarters. Striving to preserve the history of St. Albans, they have published over 7 historical books, made a "History of St. Albans " DVD, give numerous Historical Walking Tours, give historical presentations to schools and scout  groups, have history presentations and speakers and has the annual Morgan's Kitchen Fall Festival each October.
